The Observatory position is:
N 43$^\circ$ 23.5', W 72$\circ$ 20.7', Elevation 314 m.
  1. Do not move victim unless absolutely necessary
  2. Apply direct pressure to bleeding
  3. Call Cooley Dickinson Hospital Emergency Room MD on duty
    9-584-4090 ext. 2108 or ext 2109
    requesting medical decision on best way to treat and transport.
  4. If helicopter lands, approach from front quarter. AVOID BACK OF HELICOPTER
  5. REMEMBER: Conversation will be impossible in the immediate vicinity of the helicopter.

If the phones are not operational, drive to the gate and ask for help at the first occupied house. TAKE THIS PAGE WITH YOU!!

In the event of a health or other type of emergency, one should call the state police in Belchertown:
