When logged onto the UNIX workstation at the site, an observer
can enter commands via access to the serial port. To gain this
access at the shell prompt, type:
mterm
The interface is identical to command entry from the control room
console. In this mode, the
identifier is a (?NET) prompt.
Initially, this allows the user to act as a voyeur to the activity
at the telescope. If a critical command is issued, then the user is
prompted for a name
and password. At this point, the observer has full control
of the system. To return to the voyeur mode, the user types
EXIT.
To exit from the mterm emulator, type
ctrl-B X
