In general, it is a good idea to check the following information at
the VT100 screen whenever you startup the tracking programs and
begin to track an object.
- Is the UT displayed on screen 1 in agreement with the station clock
(to an accuracy of 1 or 2 seconds)?
- Is the UT date correct?
- Is the UT1-UTC correction correct? (See DUT on screen 5 for current
value)
- Are all sensors in their desired states? (See screen 6 and screen 2
for current sensor status.)
- Are the pointing offsets displayed on SCREEN 1 WINDOW 0 correct?
- Is the subreflector commanded to the correct position? (Use the
command SUBREFLECTOR to check values)
